Thank you for participating in the Kaiser Permanente Research Bank.

I hope this newsletter finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy. We’re excited to tell you about some of the health research made possible thanks to you and more than 375,000 other Kaiser Permanente members who have contributed to our Research Bank. We are truly grateful for your commitment to advancing knowledge in science and public health.

We’re currently sending out surveys to participants like you to find out more about the impact of COVID-19 and the steps that have been taken to reduce the effect of the pandemic on your health and the health of people in your household.  We will use the survey results to inform future research and public health issues.

We are pleased to report that more than 125,000 people have already responded to the survey. We also plan to send follow up surveys every 2 weeks for the next several months. We hope you’ll consider taking part in these surveys to help improve the health of our members and our communities.

In the next year, we look forward to continuing to grow as a valuable resource for research nationwide. We encourage you to tell other Kaiser Permanente members about the Research Bank.  As you know, we have one of the most diverse biobanks in the world. This means that research using the Research Bank collection will be applicable to as many people as possible. For this to happen, we need to encourage people from a variety of different backgrounds to continue to participate.

Thank you again for your willingness to help! We look forward to improving health and medicine together.  Be well and stay safe.
